On July 7, actress Kristy Swanson tweeted that Facebook locked her out of her personal page because she posted video of her wedding to it. And the date she was locked out? May 12.

Swanson tweeted:
Here’s a perfect example of how idiotic, corrupt and biased @Facebook is. I have been locked out of my personal FB page since May 12th 2021. Their reason: because I posted a fun memory video from my wedding filmed in 2009, that I own the rights to along with @etnow.
@etnow is the Twitter handle of Entertainment Tonight.
She continued by noting that her contract with Entertainment Tonight allowed the program to film her wedding and reception in exchange for ET providing her with all that it filmed.
Swanson’s story is just one of the latest examples of the types of issues people are encountering with Facebook and Big Tech in general.
