Here ya go. David Shahoulian, DHS’s assistant secretary for border and immigration policy, admitted in a court brief filed this week that the agency has seen “significantly increased rates” of coronavirus-positive border crossers arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border, spurring “extremely worrisome” conditions at border facilities.
What in the Sam Hill? “Significantly increased rates” of coronavirus-positive border crossers (color us shocked) . . . “extremely worrisome” conditions at border facilities. (You don’t say!)
You’re probably thinking that in the time of a wacky pandemic they would have shut down the ol’ border. That’s what we thought too. I guess we worry too much. This is all part of the wonderful catch-22 mixed messaging. Everyone get the vax cause Rona is soooooo dangerous. However, we’re gonna let tens of thousands of potential covid patients walk across the border. Then we’ll put ’em on busses and planes and let ’em loose across the country.
What in the actual fuck? This is beyond madness. It’s dangerous. And it’s reality. Yikes.
