Here’s one that really chaps my ass. It’s the story that sets off all the bells and whistles over on Facebook and Twitter. It’s the idea that the federal government, Big Brother, wants to be alerted by your bank if you make a transaction of $600 dollars or more. That’s what it boils down to. Social media keeps fact-checking it. Saying the memes are “misleading.” Which is really quite laughable.

Who else needs to say it out loud? They want to know about all your transactions over $600 bucks! Treasury Secretary Janine Yellen said it on TV. Nancy Pelosi said it in a news conference. What is misleading? They fucking said it! On the record! The only thing that’s misleading is Joe Biden and the Dems. They said they want to go after millionaires and billionaires who “aren’t paying their fair share.” Now they want to know what we’re all doing with $600 bucks?!
Are all the millionaires moving money around in increments of $599? Is that how they hoard their wealth? Fuck, no. They have expensive attorneys to hide their business dealings. Attorneys that you and I can’t afford. We are easy pickings for the IRS. They will swoop in and take everything without batting an eye. And they are wrong a lot. The federal government routinely seizes assets of law-abiding citizens and then just says “oopsie” when they are proven wrong. But by that time it’s usually too late for the mom and pop store. They’ve already been strangled to death financially because they didn’t have access to their money!
This proposed spying on bank accounts of $600 dollars is an outrage! If they want to go after the big fish? Go for it. At least that’s a fair fight. But this shit of going after the little guy must be stopped. It’s disgusting.
