It happened again. Mobs of looters went after stores in California’s bay area for the third night in a row.

They must have their own version of cyber-Monday and Black Friday in Cali. Why wait in lines and pay when you can just roll up with some friends and take what you want? It’s not like you’re going to get in trouble. Once word gets out that there are zero repercussions? It’s open season on shoplifting and looting. So, here they come. The looters aren’t wasting time at the dollar store either. They’re hitting high-end places like Nordstrom and Lululemon. Ya know, cause Christmas is right around the corner.
It will be interesting to see what happens next. Things can go a couple of different ways. Cali could start prosecuting shoplifters again. HA! (Don’t hold your breath.) Or, these stores could just close shop and move out of the area. Our guess is it’ll be the latter. It’s just too dangerous for your employees. And who can afford to lose this much inventory on a regular basis? We shall see.
Until then, us regular folks will keep going to work to pay for our holiday gifts. We don’t have the luxury of just walking into stores and taking stuff.
