Is anyone shocked? Anyone? We were told by the powers that be that the trillions of dollars in the so-called American Rescue plan would be used exclusively on Covid-19 and corona virus relief. Anyone with half a brain or a history book knew that wouldn’t be the case. Well, here we go. According to news outlets, Governors are using their newfound wealth on whatever they want. That’s not how any of this is supposed to work. It drives me bonkers every single time. The federal government says: Here’s a bunch of money for ‘X’. The States take that money, move it around, rejoice in their new budget surplus and take the extra cash and go hog wild on other stuff. Stuff no one voted on. It’s insane.

This is the incredibly frustrating part. Americans need that money. Small businesses need that money. This just adds insult to injury. The Federal gov stood by and watched the American people get absolutely hammered by covid. And to watch these funds be misspent is just infuriating. Not to mention the billions that will end up missing or lost to fraud. You know that’s coming too. How much money will end up being wasted? Buckle up for that number. Once again, the taxpayer gets screwed.
