Amazons Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is looking more and more like an epic fail. Only time will tell but as of right now, if I was in Vegas, I’d put all of my money on disaster. You simply can’t piss on this many fans of Tolkien and try to convince them it’s raining. And then when they discover you’ve been pissing on them, get mad at the fans for having objections to getting pissed on.

The whole Rings of Power TV show and everything associated with it just seems unsavory. Tainted. Bad. Amazon has taken something wonderful and corrupted it. It’s all very sad really. Ironically, it would make a great story on its own. How a giant corporation takes a beloved work and twists it into something awful. Hopefully the people at Amazon realize they are the Nazgul in this scenario. They are the wraiths. They despise the fans of Tolkien in the same way the people of Gondor were despised. Everything would be so much easier if the people would just give Souron’s ideas a try. Just try, you’ll learn to love it. No thanks. That’s what the fans of Tolkien are saying too. Nope. We’re not having it. And we are being loud with our opinions and that’s fantastic. That’s where the hope lies. The horde of Amazon/Mordor is coming. Let’s hold the line. It’s worth it.
