Amber Heard fired her PR team just before her scheduled testimony this week in her court battle with Johhny Depp. Evidently Heard isn’t pleased with the way her side has been represented in the court of public opinion. Can’t say as I blame her. We’d probably hire a new PR team too. What can it hurt? The bigger question is: What can it help? What can a new PR team do other than beat the same war drum of: She’s a victim of abuse? It feels like that one has been banged for a long, long, time. Isn’t that how we got here?

Not sure a new PR team can do much about the testimony we’ve heard from Depp and other eyewitnesses. When the other side makes a good case for “Amber is lying” and then plays recordings of Amber mocking Johnny Depp and telling him go to the police and tell them your wife is abusing you, let’s see who they believe, it might be a little late for a new PR team. Also? There’s the problem with the dookie on the bed. That’s a big hurdle to get over. This could be a Humpty Dumpty moment, where all the Heards horsemen and all the Heards men, couldn’t make Heard not take a dump on a bed like a crazy person again.
