Here’s the trailer for the new Marvel & Disney plus show, She-Hulk. I’ve watched this twice now and still don’t understand a lot of things. Like, why? Why even make this show in the first place? Other than to check off a box on a list of things some idiot considers socially ‘important’. On its BEST day, what IS this show? Comedy? Action? Dramedy? (Dramedy is my favorite. That’s what you call a thing that is a failure at both drama and comedy but makes the execs and writers feel better about their poor choices) The whole She-Hulk project confounds me. Marvel should just film people throwing money down the toilet. It’s worth noting that Marvel couldn’t figure out regular Hulk! They failed every time with the big green guy. They could only make Hulk ‘work’ as a bit player in the Avengers. That they failed so spectacularly again and again with one of the most popular characters in Marvel history should be a huge red flag. But here they go. She-Hulk! It’s Hulk but a girl… and she’s a lawyer… Uh oh! Prepare for shenanigans! She’s gonna hulk out in court! Won’t that be crazy! Or on a date? Oh boy! That’ll be hilarious! Hey look everybody, she beat up a person… on a date. A thing where you’re supposed to be nice… shenanigans!

Here’s an idea Marvel, do a regular Hulk movie that works. Then discuss a girl version. Like oh, I don’t know… Thor? And to be honest, I don’t put a lot of faith in She-Thor or whatever you’re calling it, and that has Natalie Portman! One more thing. How about the ladies just get their own heroes and not retreads of characters we already care about? Invent something new. Do that.
