It’s a startling photo. Justin Bieber with one eye shut. Looking like half his face is paralyzed. What happened? Unfortunately, the reason the singer looks like that is because half of his face IS paralyzed. Justin took to Twitter recently to explain why he cancelled some upcoming gigs. Turns out, he has Ramsey Hunt Syndrome. He needs treatment right away, so it doesn’t become permanent. Here’s what he said in his statement: “Hey everyone. Justin here. I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on,” he said. “Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.”

What are the odds? We can’t help but wonder. There are strange coincidences and then there are really strange coincidences. This is one the really strange ones. Just glad they both are on the mend. It could have been way worse. They could have fallen victim to SADS. Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. That’s the new thing that has doctors perplexed. Hopefully they can figure it all out.
