Didn’t know who Jamie T was until last night. Had zero clue this dude walked the earth let alone was halfway to legend status in England. Then I saw this clip of Jamie T singing ‘Sticks N Stones’ at Glastonbury 2022. Fucking hell! What in the shit is going on here? This clip is bonkers and quite possibly the most British thing I’ve seen in decades.

Let’s break it down. Dude looks like he’s hammered. Just hanging on for dear life but still putting on a hell of a show. I can make out maybe 8% of what he’s singing. But the whole crowd knows every fucking word and is ranting along in perfect time. This song MEANS something to these people. I can dig the passion. For real. The insane tempo and Jamie T’s drunken vocals put it over the top. Just fantastic. Still trying to work out more details but I can’t get past the idea that this song is very important to all in attendance. It’s drunk and angry and sad in a very British way and gives zero fucks. Respect. I enjoyed it immensely. Well done Jamie T.
