Yesterday was a big day in D.C. for the Jan. 6th committee. They heard a riveting story from former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson. The media was all over it. They were all spellbound for the duration. Cassidy Hutchinson was dropping bombshell after bombshell. Social Media couldn’t Tweet fast enough. The testimony was outrageous! Hutchinson recalled a story that she said she got from another dude at the White House about Trump lunging for the wheel of the presidential limo “the beast” and then grabbing a secret service member by the clavicle area. That’s when it got funny. We are all supposed to believe Trump lunged from the backseat… tried to grab the steering wheel of the car… then tried to choke a secret service member. Well, the committee ate it up. And the media ate it up. Social media ate it up. The story only had a few problems. It was a secondhand story (Which is hearsay) The Secret Service said it never happened. Which any reasonable person would have followed up on before they let Ms. Hutchinson testify. And it all sounded like a Steven Segal movie. It was absurd. But that’s all that counts now. An absurd tale. Repeated over and over again.
At least it got kind of funny The internet jumped in with memes like greased lighting. The absurdity of the limo story was on full display. And that’s a good thing. More mockery is needed for shit like this. If you haven’t noticed yet, there is a pattern here. Someone makes an insane claim. The story isn’t backed up with facts or any real research. The media then runs with the story as if it is a fact. Reporting on every aspect of the allegations in breathless detail. It’s incredibly predictable. The idea is to ruin someone’s reputation by a continuous avalanche of garbage. They have been doing this to Trump for years. Years! It must work or they would stop. Thankfully the testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson was soooo over the top it had entertainment value. https://patriots.win/p/15IXu2WzSR/actual-video-of-trump-grabbing-t/c/
Here’s a list of all the media ‘mistakes’ from journalist Sharyl Attkisson when it comes to covering Trump. It’s wild. How many oopsies do they get? Now we’re seeing house select committees do it. That should concern everyone https://sharylattkisson.com/2022/03/50-media-mistakes-in-the-trump-era-the-definitive-list/
