Here it is. Big drumroll. Ready? It’s HBO’s House of the Dragon trailer! What’s wrong? Not feeling it? Same here. Why are we supposed to get excited? For real. Is the idea of a return to Westeros supposed to be exciting? Why? Palace intrigue? We’ve seen that. That was Game of Thrones. And G.O.T not only had palace intrigue, it had the impending doom of an army of fucking ice zombies! Plus it had the return of dragons, dark magic, and an invasion of former slaves/warriors and horse lord mobs.
Can House of the Dragon beat that? Fuck no. We all know it. If they legit think we’re interested watching actors cavort in blonde wigs arguing about whether or not a woman can sit on the iron throne they are sadly mistaken. Because we watched a woman do that very thing. In Game of Thrones. So… big yawns from me on House of the Dragon. From everything I’ve seen so far, it’s a snore-fest. Good luck with it.
