Biden announced his big student loan forgiveness program today. It supposedly cancels $10,000 in student loan Debt for borrowers earning less Than $125,000. So, what’s in it for you? Well, if you’re not in the afore mentioned group, nothing. Nothing beyond frustration, a sense of being ripped off, and also the potential of having this issue used against you in an upcoming election if you get upset and sue to stop it. To put it another way: You get fucked.

You paid off your student loans. Now you’re going to pay for someone else’s. That’s the long and short of it. That’s Joe’s idea anyway. He seems to believe he can bypass congress, just wave a magic wand and tada! Presto change-o the debt is gone. HINT: The President can’t do that. And the government can’t forgive a debt. Someone still has to pay. HINT: That’s you. The taxpayer. Some eggheads believe that Biden CAN do this under some BS emergency power granted to him due to covid. Wouldn’t that be the shit? This is why people don’t dig giving the govt. emergency powers. Shit like student loan forgiveness.

Here’s the prediction: Lawsuits. A shit ton of Lawsuits happen to stop this illegal garbage. Because it IS illegal. It takes a while to get through the courts. Common sense wins. Biden admin. appeals and it goes to Supreme Court somewhere close to the 2024 election and the Republican candidate is put in the hot seat because he or she is a ‘horrible nazi’ that doesn’t want to reward some kid’s bad choices. I’m sure this looks like an appealing scenario for Dems. They will claim they tried. Knowing full well it was bullshit the whole time.
