A very interesting story in the New York Post today. Timothy Thibault, an FBi assistant special agent reportedly resigned from his post. Timothy was allegedly forced out after he was accused of political bias in his handling of probes involving President Biden’s son, Hunter. Hmmm… very interesting. Thibault was already on leave for a month after Chuck Grassley (R- Iowa) started raising concerns about whistleblower complaints that the FBI was obstructing investigations into Hunter Biden.
From the Post – ‘In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray in July, Grassley said Thibault and FBI supervisory intelligence analyst Brian Auten were allegedly involved in “a scheme” to “undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation
Thibault also allegedly tried to kill off a valid avenue of investigation of possible Hunter Biden criminality until at least one month before the November 2020 election, according to Grassley.
“Thibault allegedly ordered the matter closed without providing a valid reason as required by FBI guidelines … [and] subsequently attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so that it could not be opened in the future,” Grassley wrote.’
Now comes the interesting part: If this is true and Agent Tim and his buddy Brian Auten are found to have tried to squash investigations into Hunter, are we going to be told everything is now okay at the FBI? That’s what the expectation is over here. They will claim to have rooted out the few bad apples that were giving the whole dept a black eye. Moe on America, we got these ne’er do wells. All is well.
Except it isn’t. Let’s not forget the 51 intelligence officials who claimed Hunters laptop was Russian disinformation. Fifty-one. Thats a big number. So, let’s just start with a preemptive ‘nope’ on the whole ‘a few bad apples’ theory. You can take it all the way to ‘Fuck off’ town. The damage is done. FISA abuses, spying on private citizens, spying on the president, entrapment, altering emails, fake dossiers, etc. etc. etc. Rip up the FBI into tiny bits and start over.
