Here’s the second trailer for Black Adam and we’re not hating it. Not at all. And it’s got us wondering: Could Black Adam save the DCU? This feels like one of those side bet movies. Sure, you’ve got your Supermans and your Batmans. As a studio those are your biggies. You hope those give you a foundation to build upon. Sadly, WB and DC seem hell bent on messing those up. Batman only thrives when they hand the character over to a director who does his own thing and tells the studio to shut up. Every plan WB and DC put together fails. Batman vs Superman? Turd. Justice League? Polished turd. Which brings us to Black Adam. Yep, the Rock is the headliner, but look at the cast of characters in there with him! Hawkman looks great! And Dr. Fate? Shut the front door! They got a Justice Society thing going on and we are digging it. Dare we hope for a good movie? A foundation to build upon? Mayhaps.
