What’s the difference between a Border policy and a Border crisis? Evidently it can be measured in miles. Recently, Governors of several U.S. states along the southern border have taken the unprecedented step of sending illegal immigrants on buses to their new homes in cities like New York and Chicago. Cities that proudly proclaimed they were ‘Sanctuary Cities’, and all were welcome. Just yesterday Florida Gov. Ron Desantis flew some newly arrived illegal immigrants to Marthas Vineyard, home to some rather wealthy elites. What has been the result of the influx of hundreds of illegals in these sanctuary cities? Well, now it’s a crisis. For them. 500 immigrants have arrived in Chicago since august and the Illinois Gov. has declared a state of emergency.
That’s right. 500 unexpected arrivals now constitute a state of emergency. Got it. Wonder why that is? Because now the people are in your town! Funny how your perspective changes when it happens where you live. Isn’t it crazy how things change when bad policies actually affect you? Let’s have more of this. Our representatives in D.C. and across the country need to be held to the same standard the rest of us are. Across the board. When your biz was shut down for covid, was theirs? When you were told you couldn’t even get a haircut, where was Nancy Pelosi? At the Salon. When your restaurant was shut where was Gavin Newsom? Having a party with his friends at their favorite eatery. We could go on for days. The laws don’t apply to the elites. Thats a problem. And when the double standard is shoved in their faces? It’s awesome. So good for every Gov. who is highlighting the B.S. by giving illegal immigrants free tickets to sanctuary cities. Keep highlighting the hypocrisy. Suddenly our lack of a southern border will be considered a crisis. Because it is. And becuause it’s now in the backyard of the elites who caused it.
