We’re only a few days out from the 2022 midterms. The political PR world is going full tilt boogie. Things are at a fever pitch! What will happen? Who will win? What’s the latest info? These are just a few of the sentences I typed in an attempt to add drama to this post! Let’s cut the crap. How about we just tick off the latest stories and I’ll give you, my take? Let’s try that. Here’s the breakdown of three of the latest stories regarding the midterms. Let’s cut through the spin.
Oprah endorsed Fetterman. Shock? No. Is anyone surprised Oprah would go for the liberal in this race? Not here. Here’s the weird part. In her statement she said “”I’ll tell you all this, if I lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for John Fetterman for many reasons,” She then went on to list zero reasons evidently. What are her many reasons? That’s a legit question. Honestly, it comes across as someone who has given zero thought to the Penn. race and just wants to vote blue no matter what. Not a good look for O. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/oprah-winfrey-endorses-john-fetterman-over-dr-mehmet-oz-high-stakes-pennsylvania-senate-race
A Candidate in NH was physically attacked and it’s not getting any media coverage. What’s up with that? Is this America? Can we please defend democracy? Dial down the rhetoric? After the most recent events in San Fran. and the Pelosi’s you’d think the media would be all over this. Why aren’t they saying anything? You probably have an idea why not. Place your bets. Was a liberal or a conservative attacked? If you picked conservative? You win! Media Ignore Physical Attack on Republican Gen. Don Bolduc (breitbart.com)
Two-Thirds of Independents are afraid to say who they are voting for. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/11/03/exclusive-two-thirds-independents-believe-friends-afraid-say-who-they-will-vote-for-midterms/ Couple thoughts on this one. That’s sad. That’s just sad commentary on the state of American discourse. My other thought? You’re only afraid to say who you’re voting for when it’s a conservative. Remember 2016? When Trump won? Voters were pretty damn quiet when it came to those polls. This is probably the biggest indicator we’ve seen that would have us think it’s going to be ‘red wave’. But you never know. That’s why ya gotta vote!
