What have we here? There’s been a major shake-up at Disney. CEO Bob Chapek is out, and Bob Iger is back. So, why the musical chairs routine at the house of Mouse? Money. It’s always money. Disney’s stock is hitting some lows. The lowest they have seen in almost 10 years. And that, kids, is no bueno. So, when the Board of directors looks at the woke path the company is on and realize it’s a recipe for more disaster, they gotta make a change. So, they did. Now the question is: Can Bob Iger save the sinking Disney ship? We shall see. The first step is admitting you have a problem. And Disney has a huge problem. They have gone woke. They have betrayed their core audience: Families. Stabbed them right in the back.
Parents don’t want their children exposed to the content Disney is hellbent on turning out. A same sex kiss in a Buzz Lightyear movie? What the fuck were they thinking? That’s a redundant question. They (Disney) were thinking that they know more about what your kid needs to see than you do. That is betrayal. The Walt Disney Company was founded on family friendly entertainment. End of story. That is supposed to be the mission. Give families a place to escape the problems of the world for just a little bit. Just a few hours. They have failed. With a commitment to woke programming, they have betrayed the public’s trust. Now the public is going elsewhere for entertainment. Good. That’s how it works. This isn’t rocket science. Disney is offering woke propaganda instead of entertainment. So, buh, bye.
Switching CEO’s is signal to the public that Disney at least knows it has a problem. It’s a nice gesture. But just how much damage has been done to brand remains to be seen. Almost every single piece of content coming out of Disney is infused with woke. They have damaged Marvel. They have damage Toy Story. They have damaged Star Wars. Woke Disney is seemingly hell bent on ruining every franchise. The problems run deep. That’s not a CEO thing. That’s a problem with the Execs who are in charge of production and the day-to-day people. The woke runs deep at Disney. Let’s see if Iger cleans house. We doubt it. (Just FYI. We called it. Months ago.)
Sew the wind, reap the whirlwind.
Yup. That’s how it goes.
