Is anyone surprised? Anyone? The HBO Max cartoon Velma is getting wrecked by critics. Just destroyed. I wonder why that is. Maybe because they took a charming and beloved property like Scooby Doo and injected it with everything Woke? That might be part of it? Maybe it’s the lousy animation style? Sure. That doesn’t bode well. The only real upside to this Scooby Doo prequel is that Scooby isn’t in it. The poor dog who the franchise is named after got kicked to the curb and doesn’t have to be part of this woke experiment gone predictably awry.
