There seems to be bit of confusion about Chris Rock and his new stand-up special for Netflix, “Selective Outrage”. Let’s just clear it up right now. Chris Rock can say whatever he wants. He’s a comedian. That’s how it works. As a fellow comic myself, I find it funny to watch all these media outlets chiming in with “He shouldn’t have said this.” Or “He shouldn’t have said that.” Hey! Guess what? You don’t get to pick and choose. Here’s the deal: When you get your Netflix special you can say whatever you want too! That’s how this shit works. Chris Rock owes you nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. All he has to do is present his material to a room full of people and make them laugh. That’s already hard enough. So, all you teeny-minded whiners can sit back and shut the hell up. Chris Rock decides what he wants to say. Not you.
