Did you see that?! Last night, Disney Plus presented a truly disastrous episode of The Mandalorian. To say The Mandalorian was a fail is an understatement. The show was stupid. Insultingly stupid. Chock full of cameos that made the whole thing feel like a Nick at Nite awards show skit. Jack Black, Lizzo and special guest presenter Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future! Will any of them do anything interesting? No! But look! There they are! What is going on at Disney Star Wars? It’s beyond perplexing. Do they legit hate the fans? Do they have zero understanding of why Star Wars is popular? Is the problem with the showrunners? Or… is it all three of these combined? That’s the nightmare scenario that looks to be the case. Compare The Mandalorian to Andor. It’s night and day. One has storylines and characters that make sense. The other is The Mandalorian. A cameo filled, joke infused, plot hole fiesta of bizarre character choices and the thin, thin stories. Sad to watch.
