Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (Trailer) This is a tragedy.

Well, we’ve watched this a couple times and it just bums me out more and more every time I watch it. Here’s the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. It’s the last nail in the coffin of a once mighty and wonderful franchise. A true tragedy. A sick echo of what it once was. Fun, exciting, adventure with a touch of romance. That’s all over now. The people who make these movies want to constantly remind you that you are less than. You, the audience, who work your ass of everyday are fundamentally bad. The line in the trailer “And then I stole it. It’s called Capitalism.” That tells me everything. They, with they being Disney made sure that line stayed in. Because that is what they believe. The entertainment company has completely lost the plot. Yes, a writer wrote the line or maybe the actor adlibbed it. You never know. But the studio saw it and loved it so much they put it in the trailer. They know exactly the message they are sending. So, fuck you, you self-loathing hypocrites. Maybe crack a book about Walt Disney and the history of the company where you work. Or capitalism overall and how it has lifted more people out of poverty that any other system in the history of humanity. As for the rest of the trailer? Other than the female lead who I intensely dislike every time she’s on screen? It looks good. I’m certain there’s a fun movie in there somewhere. But we won’t get that movie. Indiana Jones won’t get one last hurrah that’s just a fun thrill ride. Nope. We will get woke Indy and the dial of politics. And that’s a tragedy.
