So long Witcher. Season 3 was death by bad writing. We’re done.

Time to give up on The Witcher. That show is done. It wasn’t a monster that ended the Netflix show. It was bad writing. Hubris if you will. The writers simply felt they knew more about the Witcher than the author of the books. We’re tapping out at the halfway point of season three. It’s a bummer. The first couple of episodes felt as of the writers were trying to steer the series back to source material. I was cautiously optimistic. Then it became quite evident that writers had no intention of course correction. They were just planning on doling out easter eggs for Witcher fans. That was supposed to make us happy while they continued merrily on with the show they wanted to do. A show where Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher, the title character was little more than a supporting role for the Yen and Ciri adventure hour. The list of criticisms is long, and for me, the Witcher on Netflix is dead. Put it on the pile of all the other shitty adaptations.

Here’s a great video about the death of Netflix’s The Witcher from Nerdrotic. Dude nailed it.
