Is Vivek Going to the Top?

This is not an official political endorsement. First, because no one gives a sh*t who I endorse and second, because it’s too early to know yet who is truly legitimate. But… I really enjoy Vivek Ramaswamy. And, though he’s sort of an unknown and it took me three checks to make sure I spelled his name correctly, he gets me energized in a way I haven’t felt since that time Trump said, “We will never be a socialist country” <— that made me want to sprint up and down the street.

(You’re welcome in advance) Here’s that clip in case you’re on your way to the gym: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyCDK7E35yk&t=9s

I watched most of The FAMiLY Leader Summit that was hosted by Tucker Carlson and The Blaze. It was nearly 8-hours, but I managed to do it in tiny increments this weekend while working, scrubbing my bathtub, washing dishes, cutting up vegetables, and using the lavatory. And in that long-ass event, the most exciting part was watching Vivek get at it.

I don’t know if I want him to be president in 2024 or even 2028, but he’s a lock for 2036. This is all, of course, in my political fantasy-land. We’re all likely in the gulags by 2026.

If you missed the summit, here’s Vivek’s interview with Tucker Carlson:

Watch that and let’s see what you think. This isn’t to take anything away from Big T and all that he’s done. I wish he had come to this event but word on the street is that he had a prior commitment (which is good, Trump is a man who keeps commitments!). I’m just saying that Vivek is killing it and it’s very fun to watch.

As an aside… I was saying to my friend the other day that right now, with the primaries and the lead-up to the next election, although it’s all very dark and grim and scary thinking of where our country might go, but this time in politics to me feels like I’m watching the NFL Draft or The Masters or the NBA Finals or March Madness. I’m really enjoying myself.

So, to you, my dear reader…

  1. What do you think of Vivek?
  2. What do you think of Vivek in relation to Trump and/or DeSantis?
  3. What’s your current ranking of all the candidates based on the performances at the summit?

Thinking of my question #2 there, to be honest, I haven’t thought about DeSantis at all since I watched the summit. He didn’t hit as hard as Vivek in my opinion. I like Ronnie D. though too. The guy has done no wrong in my book. And I thought Nikki Haley was going to be horrendous, I just don’t trust her at all, but she did alright. The same can’t be said for some other folks.

We’re in for a very interesting primary, that’s for sure.

Thanks for indulging! Enjoy!
