Here’s something we definitely never want to do. Ever. Transitioning into a cashless society. Sure, there’s a convenience factor to using digital currency but the downside is the stuff of nightmares. Say something the government doesn’t like? Click. You have no money. Done. Wiped out with one keystroke. It’s a terrifying way for a government to control you. Take a look at what happened to the truckers in Canada. Millions of dollars never got to them. And let’s not forget just how eager the U.S, Australia, New Zealand and other countries were so eager to use any tool they could get their hands on to control their populations. Think they wouldn’t us money to make you comply with any new rule? Of course, they would. China already has a social credit system. Do something wrong? You’re not allowed to travel. No visit to granny or vacation for you. And if they want to ruin you financially? Click. Done. The threat of digital currency is very real. A cashless world the last thing free societies need. We agree with Russell Brand on this one. Cash is freedom. Let’s hang to that, shall we? Freedom.
