Surrender – Cheap Trick

Let’s be honest, at this point in your life, you’ve been both the kid and the parent in that lyric.

This week we celebrate Cheap Trick a band that rocked us since the Seventies and has transformed themselves many times. They present as two sexy dudes (Robin Zander & Tom Peterson), the Office Space, chain smoking drummer (Bun E. Carlos) and the zany looney (Rick Nielson). If you listen to classic rock stations, you can’t help but hear three tracks from their “Live at Budokan” album at their soaring height in 1978.

There’s way too much ground to cover, so let’s go with a cross section.

Here to rock your face off is one of their staples.

They really rocked, but when they were helping you prepare for naughty time, these hard rockers put out more than a couple of ballad tunes.

Any resemblance to the Beatles is strictly intentional.

And finally, for you midnight movie fanatics, here’s the one that blew me away!
