Finally had the time to sit down and watch The Super Mario movie last night. It’s on Netflix and I decided to roll the dice and give it a watch. It was really good! Loads of fun. And zero woke! It’s just a good, well crafted, family friendly adventure movie. Our two favorite mushroom munching plumbers find themselves in a strange land and save the day. No big message. No politics. Just a fun romp of a movie with plenty of shout outs to the games and characters that made Mario famous to begin with.

So, as Disney continues to commit corporate self-destruction, it looks like Nintendo will pick up the family entertainment football and run. Good for them. Keep making good movie like The Super Mario Bros. and they’ll be fine. Super Marios Movie is on Netflix now.
