The last two days on Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, have been, shall I say, enlightening? Everything kicked off after Trump said at a rally that the automobile industry would experience a bloodbath if Biden got re-elected. A shocking number of media outlets were quick to edit the soundbite and pretend that Trump said there would be a bloodbath if he didn’t get re-elected. Ironically CNN was one of a handful of outlets that didn’t go for the ‘Bloodbath’ mislead. They went with the fairly accurate: “Trump warns of ‘bloodbath’ for auto industry and country if he loses the election.”
Joe Scarborough was another case entirely. Dude doubled down on his bloodbath hot take. Even after getting factchecked by Elon Musk himself! Joe Scarborough was out there on MSNBC doubling down about bloodbaths this morning.
