Here we go again. It’s round 2 of the battle of the fantasy streaming shows. In one corner we have HBO’s House of the Dragon and in the other, Amazon’s Rings of Power. In season one of the showdown, HBO and House of the Dragon was the clear winner. Everything was better for HOD. Everything. The characters, the plot, the pacing, everything. Amazons Rings of Power was an unwatchable shit show. A veritable ‘how not to make a show’ fest.

Now it’s round 2. Amazon released the trailer for Rings of power season two and it’s already racking up some huge dislike numbers on YouTube. Far more dislikes than likes by a big margin. Now it’s time for HBO to reveal the trailer for House of the Dragon. And again, it looks like the superior show. Epic dragon fights in the skies? Yup. Characters in a battle for survival? Yup. Believable behavior from aforementioned characters? Dialogue that was actually thought through and doesn’t suck? Yup. Nudity? Sure! Does the world have rules and do these rules make sense? Yup. And did we mention the nudity and dragon fights? Yeah. It’s not even a close call. HBO’s House of the Dragon is the clear winner in the fantasy series war. The show returns on June 16th.
