Let’s add this Gaza Pier debacle to the list of reasons I’m not a fan of big government. See, somehow the taxpayers paid for a pier in Gaza, to you know, deliver aid. Is there a war going on? Sure. Could we just airdrop the aid? Sure! But why not spend 300 plus million dollars on a pier? A pier that would have to be protected by US soldiers, that might put them in harm’s way. It’s a bad idea. A really bad and expensive idea. So, of course Joe Biden went full steam ahead on the 300-million-dollar Gaza pier idea! And now the pier is gone. It didn’t work. The morons in charge spent 300 million dollars on a dock that didn’t float. It failed.
The brainiacs who brought you the Afghan withdrawal have now failed to build a floating dock. Now granted, floating dock tech is relitively new. It’s only been around since before ancient Greece. The Polynesian community somehow figured it out, but somehow, it’s beyond our ability. Aren’t we all grateful that 300 million dollars has literally been washed out to sea. We have nothing to show for it. Hopefully the next dock will be more expensive and last an additional 3 days. This is how big government works. They take our money, spend it on things we don’t want like 300-million-dollar docks and just keep coming back for more. It’s insanity. Here’s some posts about the Gaza pier on X. It’s just good to know the aid doesn’t get stolen though. Oh wait. Looks like it does! Oops. What are the odds they do build another Pier?
