Hey, everybody! Let’s talk about the presidential debate on CNN tonight. We have plenty of observations and maybe even a prediction or two. The only thing I’m certain of is this: It will be painful to watch. The big question seems to be what kind of mental state will Biden be in? Will he be alert and energized with giant dilated pupils like other debates, or will he be baffled and befuddled? That’s the very first thing people will be looking at. And that, kids, is disturbing to say the least.
But let’s pretend they aren’t giving Joe any meds. Let’s say it’s all just Joe vs the Donald. But it isn’t, is it? This is a ‘debate’ on CNN, moderated by some people who have been vocal, on CNN about comparing one candidate to Hitler.
Let’s take that in for a second. One guy is going to show up and if he’s not a drooling mess, it’s a win. He will be helped out by the moderator and the network who want him to ‘win’. It will be almost impossible for camp joe to look back. He will be shored up by all of the mainstream media directly following this show.
And let’s not forget about the other moderator, Dana Bash. If you were wondering about her? Take a peek at this.
My takeaway? This isn’t even close to a debate. It’s painful propaganda. One guy just has to show up and not keel over. The moderators just have to make a teeny effort to not seem completely biased. The rest of the media will jump in and very thoughtfully declare Joe did a great job and clearly won. Barring any kind of total physical or mental break with reality from Joe, that’s how it will go.
It’s not a debate between the Donald and Joe. It’s the Donald against the political and media machine. Ouch. Good luck out there.
