Let the games begin. Shortly after President Trump announced the end of DEI in the Federal Government, many of these programs started a game of hide and seek. They thought they would avoid the chopping block by changing the name of the program or the office.
It’s all the same people. Still doing whatever it is they do in DEI, but now with clever new names like: Office of Collaboration, things like that.
On one hand I can understand the desire to not have to go look for a new job. However, that’s what they’re going to have to do. It’s over. The whole DEI thing is over. We already have a DEI program in America, and it’s called the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We’re all equal. We declared it. A looong time ago. So, pack up your ol’ DEI kit bag and smile, smile, smile. You’re about to start a glorious new chapter in your live. Think of it as a challenge.
Hiding isn’t an option. Too many people are watching.
It might be as simple as going through federal payroll and finding out who was getting paid for what job before Trump landed in the White House. Then we fire people individually. But that seems ugly. Here’s a better idea: Read the room. DEI initiatives were and are a total failure. They are redundant to say the least and arguably do far more damage than good. Nobody likes them. Except of course for the people getting paid by Uncle Sam to keep the grift going. And guess what? We’re done. As a wise man once said on NBC, “You’re fired”.
So, let’s not make it awkward. Stop with the games. There’s the door. Don’t let it hit ya where the good lord split ya.
