Yeah. It’s got to go. Right now, the current administration is making moves to get rid of the dept of education. Good. It is way past the time to get rid of this thing. I know it sounds horrifying at first, but once you dig into the numbers? You’ll be on team ‘shut it down’. We spend a boat load of money and kids aren’t learning. The end. Well, kind of. There’s more but that’s the heart of the matter.
The dept of education was an experiment. An experiment that failed. Let’s get rid of a giant bureaucracy that has failed students, give the power back to the states and hand good teachers a big fat raise.
Here’s some sad, yet infuriating stats on the dept of education. You’re not funding students. You’re funding administrators.
It’s hard to argue that the dept of education isn’t a con job. We spend a lot of money on education and the situation with our kids learning is only getting worse. You’d be wasting money and doing the kids a huge disservice to keep it going. Keep an eye on the people who want to keep the dept of education going. They are almost certainly making money off the scam.
