I’m gonna start this post by actually answering the question posed in the title. I’ll opine after. The song from the Andor season 2 trailer? It’s The Revolution Starts Now by Steve Earle. Here’s it is. Listen again. I’ll tell you my thoughts after you listen.

This song couldn’t be a better choice for Andor. First of all, it’s a killer track. Welcome to the world of Steve Earle. Do yourself a favor and dig into this dude’s library. You’re welcome. But now you’re saying, “But this doesn’t sound like a Star Wars soundtrack.” Okay. Is it the soundtrack or is it just a choice for the trailer? We can all relax. It’s a choice. And it’s a great one.

And if the showrunner wants to separate Andor from the rest of Disney Star Wars? GOOD! Get far away from that stinking pile of crap. It’s all been shit, with the exception of Andor. So, good for them!

As a writer, I can wholeheartedly tell you that Andor is the ONLY show that looks as if it was written by someone who actually cares. For real. All of Disney Star Wars is a train wreck. So, if the creative team want’s to use Steve Earle and an awesome song to get some separation for their trailer? Hell yes.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some more Steve Earle to listen to. And how great is that Andor season 2 trailer?! Fuggin awesome stuff!
