Nintendo Switch 2 release? Good. Price of games? Probably a deal breaker.

Big day in gaming. Nintendo has announced the Switch 2. Let’s dive in and see what we can find out about titles, cost and all that good stuff. Right out of the gate? We know that the Switch 2 launches on June 5th with a price tag of 499.99. That seems borderline reasonable. I say that because I’m a fan of the Switch I already have. It’s good machine. You can pre-order the Switch 2 starting April 9th.

We’ll be fair in this post. The Nintendo Switch 2 looks pretty good. The price of the games might be a deal breaker.

Here’s the promo video that Nintendo put out. Let’s take a look.

Okay. Now let’s talk Titles. What are they selling for this thing? The Duskbloods should be huge. That’s a big one.

And a new Mario Kart feels like standard operating procedure for a new Nintendo launch.

Here’s a sticking point: The price of games. $80 dollars for digital. $90 bucks for a physical game. What? Almost $100 dollars to own a physical game? That could be a deal breaker for a lot of people. We shall see. I know, I’m not digging that. Not one little bit.
