Here’s the harsh reality about The Outer Worlds 2. Yes, it looks great. Check out the trailer for yourself. We have no problems with any of the footage or any of that stuff. Oh no, we’re going to pass on this game for one big reason. Or should I say 80 big reasons. The price. That’s a hard pass from TLP gaming. I’ll get into that more, below. But for now? Let’s take a look at that beautiful Outer Worlds 2 footage! Why not?
Yup, The Outer Worlds 2 look like fun. It’s just not 80 dollars’ worth of fun. Microsoft had a lame excuse for the price hike: “We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development“
Gotcha: Guess what else is challenging? People paying 80 bucks for a game. Nice try with the excuse though. Maybe fuel costs should be factored in? No? Not a lot of fuel used… hmmm. Maybe it’s the cost of raw materials? No? Huh. You know what it might just be? Microsoft wants to test the market and see how much people will pay for a video game. That seems like the real answer to me.
Okay then, test the market. Let’s see how many people will shell out 80 bucks for The Outer Worlds 2. The game might be janky as all hell too! We don’t know yet. And you can’t get mad at Microsoft; they’re just trying to figure out how many people will go along with the price hike. I won’t be. Hopefully you won’t either. Let’s send a message of our own. We won’t pay that much.
We’ll all find out soon enough. The Outer World 2 releases on Oct 29th, 2025.
