I’ve been trying to get into the Apple TV show Foundation. Really, I have. I watched seasons one and two. While the visuals were great, the story never really clicked with me. Now, along comes the trailer for season three of Foundation and I’m asking myself: Is this what the books were like? I’m watching this trailer and I’m legit wondering what the heck I’m watching. Are they introducing a new villain in season three? I know there was a time travel sequence in season two with some (less than impressive) villain-ish rascal. But is that it? Is that what we’re worried about as the viewer? What is happening with this show?

Here’s the trailer for Foundation season three. Let me know if you’ve read the books. Is this even close to the novels? It seems like poor writing to me. Just saying. The show returns to Apple TV on July 11th.
