Hey Loftites! It has been one helluva sad week, hasn’t it. The senseless murder of a young girl just trying to get home from work and the equally senseless murder of Charlie Kirk while speaking on campus.
We’re going to do things a bit differently this week. Instead of silliness, we will choose celebration. Let’s review some of Charlie Kirks’ must uplifting, fun and impressive moments. So, let’s do it. Here’s a look at some of our favorite clips of a guy doing the thing that he enjoyed. Here’s the best of Charlie Kirk edition of The Week In Memes.
On the blessings of children. Even the “opposition” was moved.
Kirk articulately lays out how God is woven into the Founder’s intentions.
Here is Kirk engaging with a gay conservative kid, telling him that he’s welcome.
Alex Stein hilariously trolling Kirk.
And finally, here’s Charlie saying why he celebrates a social-media free Sabbath.
Wishing you all a peaceful Sabbath too.
And rest in peace, Charlie, even if I didn’t always agree with you, you were a class act and a deeply principled person.
Gordon, This was a wonderful tribute to Charlie Kirk. You picked some fantastic videos to highlight his intelligence, his faith, love of family and a great sense of humor (with Alex Stein) Our right to debate was very important to him and he wanted younger people to embrace it. George Orwell said” If liberty means anything at all,it means the right to tell people what they don’t want to hear”. Everyone was welcomed up to the microphone and treated with respect. Did he intellectually destroy most of them…Sure! But he did it respectfully. I don’t know where we go from here now that he’s gone. I truly believed he would be President one day. What a loss of a truly extraordinary man.
Well said, Lynne. And thank you. Keep his memory in your heart and his family in your prayers.
