I’ll let you watch the trailer for Disney Star Wars ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ and decide what you think for yourself. I have plenty of thoughts and frankly, I’m having a hard time thinking of something nice to say. Here. Watch the trailer, and I’ll think if something.

Here we got: It’s nice to see Sigourney Weaver! Very cool of her to say yes to this movie. I use the term movie because this reeks of a cash grab by Disney. Just try to cash in on any leftover Star Wars goodwill. This don’t look like a movie. This isn’t close to cinema. This legit has the same visual quality of the show. It looks like an episode of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus with maybe a tad more money for digital effects. Ouch.

And they say it’s shot for Imax. Specially for Imax. LOL! Sure.. sure it was. I’m sure they’re not just saying that to justify a higher ticket price. I would say the whole thing is shameful, but it feels like we passed shameful with Disney Star Wars a while back.

Good luck with this “Movie” Disney. Yikes. The Mandalorian and Grogu hits a TV near you about five minutes after it opens in theaters on May 22, 2026. Imax theaters. HA! Cause it was shot specifically for Imax… and not Disney Plus. LOL!
