It’s been 8 years since the release of Disney Star Wars, The Last Jedi. This is the movie that for me was the official end of Star Wars. This is where it became painfully obvious it was over. So, it’s been 8 years. Let’s reflect and talk about what went wrong.
Whoever fails to plan, plans to fail. That’s the thing that always pops up when I think about Disney Star Wars. Disney had no plan. Not for a trilogy. Not for a story. They had a loosely connected bs tapestry of scenes. Almost everything that was established in the first movie was undone in The Last Jedi. It was as they say, “A shit show”.
My thought’s on The Last Jedi really haven’t changed since I watched it the ONE TIME!
They undercut Lukes entire character. Han Solo was killed in the precious movie. They had no more Villain. It’s the greatest fumble in the history of movies. They will teach this in Film School for ages. There are 2 types of Star Wars fans: Story fans and Spaceship fans. The spaceship fans think Star Wars is all about the effects and gadgets. They think all you need to do is slap some new alien or spaceship on the screen and the dumbass fans will be happy. Those are the people at Disney Star Wars and they are wrong. Star Wars, like any good movie, is about characters… and STORY!
