Okay, we’ll play. Here we go again. It’s being widely reported that Kathleen Kennedy is out at Star Wars. Sure. We’ll believe it when we see it. Star Wars fans have been down this road many times before. But let’s say the reporting is true. What then? Well, you’re probably not going to like this next part. Dave Filoni and Lywen Brennan are (reportedly) going to share duties. Again: All this is just being reported. Ugh.

I thought Kennedy was a goner back in 2023. Just saying.

Here’s why I say, ugh to all of this. I’ll be blunt. Filoni has been a giant disappointment. Ahsoka should have been great. That’s his baby! He screwed up that show like no one’s business. The Mandalorian should have been insanely good but oof. Screwed the pooch with that one too. And what put’s Filoni over the edge? The Acolyte. Sweet lord in heaven that was awful.

As a former television writer myself, I find I share many of the same thoughts at former network exec, turned YouTuber “Call Me Chato”. IF Kennedy is out? It’s too little, too late for Star Wars. And her ‘replacement’ feels like more of the same. Sad.
