Forgive me for missing this new Supergirl trailer during last night’s big game. I was traveling to NYC for a TV show and frankly gave zero shits about the game or the halftime show. Tada! However, I am interested in DC and Movies and all that good stuff!
So, here’s the Superbowl Trailer for Supergirl! Let’s take a look. I’ll share my opinion after we all watch!
Okay, ready? They are tugging on the heartstrings big time with the puppy. That’s fine. I’ll take it, but damn. We get it. Wish I was feeling more sympathy for Supergirl and Milly Alcock. Oh well. She still seems way too overpowered, but what can ya do? It’s a trailer. It’s not a great trailer but it’s a step in the right direction. At the start of this thing I was wondering if they had to pay Peter Jackson for recreating the elves leaving middle earth shot from Fellowship. Oof.
All hope isn’t lost for Supergirl. We haven’t really met the villain yet (Lobo). That’s key. And Supergirl might still be an overpowered feminist wet dream. Too soon to tell. We shall see what happens next. The movie open June 26th. Still time for reshoots really. If they want to.
