Yes, we know Iran happened and there’s a bushels of memes. Please forgive me. It has been a weekend, which is why the meme-y goodness is late this week. We’ll get to Iran either later this week or next weekend’s TWIM. For now, let’s review everything up until Saturday morning.
First up, the Native California Greasefish known as Governor Gavin Newsom made a doozy of a gaffe in his bid to be president. To a black audience, Newsom tried an “I’m just like you” bit, except for hot sauce in his purse, he used is 960 SAT and his claim that he can’t read to relate to the peeps. That’s not the meme part. This actually happened.
You know who is going to run with it, don’t you? Yep, Netflix.
If this is who you choose for your social engagement team, well, let’s just say it explains a lot of the brains under the greasy mantle.

After all that, you still find the time to put up some outrageously funny memes and videos with your very witty commentary. The things you do for us heathens. You described Gavin Newsom to a T. He has the audacity to call JD Vance a phony and then plays to black voters that he’s just like them because he can’t swim or read. I’m surprised he didn’t say he wasn’t able to get an ID because he was disenfranchised. Could you imagine if Vance said that? Good lord!
I am loving the Marcos of the Week memes. The Potomac River cleanup meme was too funny and the Patch meme was just adorable. The Grab Bag was fantastic. Loved it. It’s always fun to see your work pop up on “the only website that matters” because I know it going to be something great. Thanks Gordon!
