Yikes is probably the best reaction to this one. The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Take a look at this and I think you’ll agree with me. Step one? Watch the clip.
Ready? Yikes. Maybe they should have called this movie Spider-Man: The Kitchen Sink. They threw everything in here. What am I watching? I have so many questions about all of it. It feels like they have everyone in this flick, yet I really don’t care about half of them. Punisher? That’s cool. Bruce Banner? Don’t care. Not unless there’s some Hulk. The Scorpion? Don’t care. Didn’t like him in the comics and I don’t care now.
Pete Parker has to battle the memory crap from the last movie. Now he’s mutating as well. There’s multiple stories and bad guys… what am I watching? This trailer felt like a hot mess. Lots of things happening but I legit didn’t care about any of it. Yikes.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens on July 31st. Hopefully the next trailer clears things up a bit. This was a mess.
More Punisher, less whatever this was.
