Act Blue, big money and allegations of Smurfing? What the hell is this?

It’s almost time to take a step back from all the fraud stories and make sure that we don’t get overwhelmed. The scope and scale of the theft is gigantic. This time it’s Act Blue in the crosshairs of scandal. I’ll say ‘scandal’ just to mix it up due to repetition of the word ‘fraud’.

Just to get you up to speed, here’s the description of Act Blue from Google:

ActBlue is a nonprofit, digital fundraising platform designed for Democratic candidates, progressive organizations, and non-profits to accept online donations. Founded in 2004, it acts as a conduit for grassroots supporters, allowing small-dollar donors to easily contribute to political campaigns. It is the primary fundraising technology used by Democrats.

Okay, so once I read “nonprofit, digital fundraising platform”? All the alarm bells are ringing. After USAID, DOGE and all the other NGO’s and Nonprofits involved with massive fraud, I am suspicious AF.

As far as I can tell, one of the things Act Blue is accused of doing is taking big sums of money and then using some stranger’s identity to make small political donations in that stranger’s name. Keep the amounts small to help avoid detection.

And now I’m learning it has a name! “Smurfing”. How about that.

And of course we’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars. Again.

These are just the allegations. But let’s add Act Blue to California Hospices and Minnesota Learing Centers to the growing list of concerns. I once again call on congress to put a stop to all nonprofits and NGO’s until we can check their financials.
