Someone thought it would be a swell idea to put kill switches in cars! That way, if someone wanted to, they could just prevent someone else from driving! Tada!
This is all for ‘public safety’ supposedly. They can kill a car if a crazy person is behind the wheel, right? Guess who else they can stop from driving? You! Yup. Some faceless bureaucrats or even and AI program could just decide you shouldn’t go anywhere and you’re done driving till they figure it out.
The kill switch is a bad idea and needs to be killed. There’s a reason why they pass crap like this when nobody’s looking. They know it sucks.

Now, as the shit storm of finger pointing commences, let’s just focus on a resounding “Kill the kill switch”. I don’t care about side shows and blame games. Just kill it. And maybe do something useful like spending less money and defunding programs that are doing harm. And are we still paying the Taliban? Maybe kill that instead of Americans ability to drive.
