Sunday Jams: Morrissey

It’s time for Sunday Jams and this week I’ve got a smooth collection of Morrissey to share with y’all.

Known primarily for his iconic work with British rock band The Smiths, Morrissey has carved out an impressive solo career spanning decades. Setting his more polarizing political and animal advocacy views aside, the man has racked up a long list of awards and nominations. Believe it or not, he’s still packing massive crowds today. Catch him across Europe this summer and in the US this fall.

And hey, it’s the day after our Independence Day. America is and always will be #1, but credit where it’s due… Morrissey’s songwriting hits just as hard on this side of the pond.

Here are some catchy Morrissey tunes to finish out what has been a fantastic holiday weekend.

Originally written and performed by The Pretenders in 1982.

Declaring Sunday a “news-free zone.”

Ok, I am sneaking in a song by The Smiths, but this version is performed at a live Morrissey concert, so it counts.
