Here’s the wonderful thing about giving up on the Resident Evil franchise ages ago. I stopped caring. Do I hope that Milla Jovoich made bank? Absolutely. Did the series need a reboot? Yes indeed. How about something that is like hitting ‘Control, Alt, Delete’ for the whole Resident Evil franchise? That sounds like a good idea. How about rooted sequel of sorts? I’ll take it. That’s what this Resident Evil movie feels like.

Well, here’s the latest trailer for Zach Cregger’s take on Resident Evil and boy, howdy do I like it. Now, sure, it could suck but I am loving what I’m seeing in the trailers! a regular guy gets thrown into a world of insanity that just get’s worse and worse. That, kids, sounds just like a recipe for a great video game and a great movie. Regular guy in extraordinary circumstances. It’s not rocket science. It’s a good time at the movies or a gaming console.

Resident Evil hits theaters on September 18th.
