Okay, the song ‘SaWaDika’ has well over 130 million views on YouTube. That’s huge. There’s no two ways around it. The video was released just 3 or 4 days ago. That’s insane! So, let me among the many who are tipping their caps to Lisa. That’s the name of the performer. She’s from Thailand.

Now things are becoming clearer for me as I try to wrap my brain around 130 million views of a song in under a week. Here’s the song, just so you know what we’re talking about. Oh! And SaWaDiKa means hello or hi. That’s worth noting. We’re learning things!

There it is. Good for her. Lisa got a lot of views for this. Is the song my cup of tea? Nope. It is as they say: Not my jam. However, someone is watching the video. Lots of someones. I’m guessing this has more to do with the number of phones in Asia than with the strength of the song. Certainly, Lisa has a large number of fans and they all want to see her latest. So tada! When that many people all look at their phones at the same time? It sends a message to YouTubes algorithm that this must be wildly popular and then YouTube pushes it to people like me. That’s how I got here in the first place.

Honestly, there was a big part of me that was hoping for something new and different and wonderful. Sadly, I just got a big hiccup in the algorithm. Congrats on all the views though! That’s big deal.
