Let’s talk about this whole Ed Sheeran controversy for a few minutes and explain what’s going on. And while we’re at it let’s talk about who did nothing wrong: Ed Sheeran. That dude is just trying to put on a good show! Here’s writer, comedian and part-time guitarist Michael Loftus to explain. This is what happened with the Loop tour, Macklemore and Ed Sheeran. And as we explain this controversy, maybe we should call it the Macklemore controversy. But it’s not a good idea to name the controvery after the opening act.

Well, it happened. I waited until Ed Sheeran’s concert in Philly to see what it would bring besides unhinged Free Palestine protesters. He broke the cardinal rule. Don’t apologize when you did nothing wrong. Damn,Ed. Why? He might as well turn in his genitalia and man card right now. He won’t be needing them any longer. The crying apology is not going to appease this lunatic fringe. They want their pound of flesh. They certainly aren’t going to get it from Robert Kraft. He’s old and rich. He’s golden unless he takes another trip to the Me Love You Long Time Nail Salon and Spa for another cash only happy ending. Ed’s got much bigger problems. His fans are turning on him and he may have to wait it out until they hit menopause to resurface. I hope he saved his money. Lord knows,Taylor Swift isn’t going to bat for him. Meanwhile, the talentless Macklemore is the golden boy and will probably headline some Free Palestine BBQ and Kegger at Columbia University. It really sucks for Ed who seems like a nice guy and that’s the.problem. When you try to appease everyone, you appease no one. He got dragged into this mess and has been left to deal with the aftermath. Enjoyed the video. Thanks Michael!
I saw it too. All he had to do was play. Just give em the show. Play the hits. But nooooooo.. he has to give a speech. Sad. Dude! Let the music do the talking. He really just made things worse for himself. Good luck, Eddie. You’re going to need it.
